Freshli Accessibility Statement.

How Freshli works with Apple’s accessibility features, and how to tell us about a barrier. Last updated: 30 October 2026.

1. Our commitment

Alderframe wants Freshli to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with vision, motor, hearing or cognitive differences. We design Freshli to work with the accessibility features built into Apple’s platforms, and we treat accessibility as part of how we build, not a one-off check.

2. What Freshli supports

  • VoiceOver. Controls and content are labelled for VoiceOver, so every meaningful control has a clear description.
  • Dynamic Type. Text scales with your text-size setting, up to the larger accessibility sizes.
  • Reduce Motion. Freshli honours the Reduce Motion setting and uses calmer alternatives to decorative motion.
  • Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast. Freshli honours these settings.
  • Not only colour. Freshness badges use labels as well as colour.
  • Right-to-left languages. Layouts mirror for right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.
  • 39 languages. Freshli is available in 39 languages and regional variants.
  • Hands-free cooking. Recipe steps can be read aloud, and you can move to the next step hands-free using face tracking and device motion. Both are optional and run on your device.

3. Known limitations

Some newer screens and animations may still need refinement for assistive technologies, and some areas may not yet meet the standard we aim for. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and fix them in updates.

4. Report a barrier

If something in Freshli is hard to use with your setup, tell us: email [email protected] with the subject Freshli Accessibility. Please include your device model, its software version, your Freshli version, the accessibility settings you use, and what happened. We welcome suggestions from people who use assistive technology.

5. Standards

We follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines for accessibility and the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 where they apply to a native app. This statement is not a formal conformance claim or certification.
