2. Common topics
Route planning
RouteSky helps you compare route options with weather context and a Journey Score. If a planned route is not appearing as expected, make sure your origin and destination addresses are valid, you have an active internet connection, and your iOS Location settings allow RouteSky to access your location while using the app.
Weather information
RouteSky uses Apple's WeatherKit for weather data. Forecasts are based on Apple-provided sources and are intended to support journey planning only. Weather conditions can change. Always check official local sources before travelling.
Live Activities & Dynamic Island
Live Activities require iOS 16.1 or later and that Live Activities are enabled for RouteSky in Settings → RouteSky → Notifications → Live Activities. The Dynamic Island is supported on compatible iPhone models.
Widgets
Add a RouteSky widget by long-pressing your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tapping the plus icon, and selecting RouteSky. Widgets refresh on the iOS-managed schedule and may not always show the most recent route or weather information.
RouteSky Pro
RouteSky Pro unlocks advanced route weather insights, enhanced Journey Scores, advanced widgets, unlimited saved trips, road trip planning, and family trip sharing. RouteSky Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple — see the RouteSky Terms of Use for details.
Restore purchases
If you have previously purchased RouteSky Pro on the same Apple ID, open RouteSky, go to the subscription or settings screen, and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed into the App Store on your device with the Apple ID used at the time of purchase.
Privacy
RouteSky does not require an account and is designed to minimise data collection. See the RouteSky Privacy Policy and Privacy Choices for details, including how location and route information are used.
3. Subscriptions
RouteSky Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Pricing and renewal period are disclosed at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period and are billed to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.
4. Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund via Apple's website: reportaproblem.apple.com. Your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
5. Location permissions
RouteSky uses your location to support route planning, journey features, route weather context, and widgets / Live Activities that you choose to enable. You can change RouteSky's location access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → RouteSky.
6. Safety note
RouteSky provides planning information only. It does not replace driver judgment, official road guidance, emergency alerts, or local road conditions. Do not interact with the app while driving. Always follow the rules of the road and use the device hands-free where required by law.
