RouteSky · Privacy
Your privacy choices.
RouteSky is designed so you stay in control. This page summarises the privacy choices available to you and how to use them.
For full details, see the RouteSky Privacy Policy.
1. Location permissions
RouteSky uses your location to support route planning, journey features, route weather context, and any widgets or Live Activities you choose to enable. iOS lets you choose between While Using the App, Allow Once, or Never. Some features will not work if location is set to Never.
Where to change it: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → RouteSky.
2. Widgets & Live Activities
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show route and weather context using WidgetKit. Live Activities (including the Dynamic Island on supported iPhones) show the active journey using ActivityKit.
Remove a widget: long-press the widget and choose Remove Widget.
Disable Live Activities: Settings → RouteSky → Notifications → Live Activities.
3. Subscriptions (RouteSky Pro)
RouteSky Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. You can manage, pause or cancel it at any time.
Where to change it: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → RouteSky. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Delete local app data
RouteSky stores saved trips and preferences on your device (and, if you enable iCloud, in your iCloud under your Apple ID). To remove RouteSky's on-device data:
- Inside the App: use any reset or "clear saved trips" option provided in RouteSky's settings;
- Delete the App: long-press the RouteSky icon and choose Remove App → Delete App. This removes RouteSky's on-device data;
- iCloud: if you also want to remove RouteSky data from iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → RouteSky and choose to delete data.
5. Support and privacy requests
If you want to ask a question, exercise a privacy right, or report an issue, email [email protected] with subject RouteSky Privacy Request. We will respond in line with applicable law (including the UK GDPR / EU GDPR where it applies to you).
6. Tracking
RouteSky does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, does not use third-party advertising SDKs, and does not implement Apple's App Tracking Transparency tracking framework because it does not perform such tracking. You can verify our data practices in the App's privacy nutrition label on the App Store and in the RouteSky Privacy Policy.
7. Notifications
If RouteSky sends notifications (for example, journey alerts you have opted into), you can change permissions in Settings → RouteSky → Notifications.
