Acknowledgements.

A short list of the libraries, frameworks, fonts, and people that make Wayword possible. We will keep this page in sync with the App's About → Acknowledgements screen at every release.

Wayword is currently in development. This page reflects the open-source dependencies, system frameworks, and credits in use at this stage. Final, version-pinned licence text for every shipped dependency will be included inside the App and listed here on the day Wayword is released on the App Store.

Apple platform frameworks

Wayword is built on Apple's developer platform and runtime, including (without limitation): Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Foundation, CloudKit, StoreKit, GroupActivities, BackgroundTasks, UserNotifications, and the standard Xcode toolchain. These are provided by Apple Inc. under the Apple Developer Program agreement; they remain the property of Apple Inc. and are used in accordance with Apple's terms.

Typography

  • Inter & Inter Tight — by Rasmus Andersson and the Inter community. Used for the website and (where applicable) for in-App typography. Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.
  • SF Pro / SF Compact / SF Mono — Apple's system fonts, used in-App where Apple platforms supply them by default. © Apple Inc.

Open-source libraries

Where Wayword integrates third-party open-source libraries, each is used under its respective licence. Common dependencies for projects of this kind, and that may be used by Wayword, include:

The final, version-pinned list of every library used by the shipped build of Wayword (with full licence text and copyright notices) will be made available inside the App via Settings → About → Acknowledgements and republished on this page at each release. If you spot a library that should be credited and is missing, please email [email protected].

Iconography & system imagery

  • SF Symbols — Apple's system icon library, used in accordance with Apple's SF Symbols licence and Human Interface Guidelines. © Apple Inc.
  • Custom iconography and the Wayword brand mark are designed in-house at Alderframe and are © Alderframe Ltd.

Services & infrastructure

  • Apple App Store — distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, App Analytics, TestFlight, App Store Connect, push notifications (APNs), and (where used) iCloud / CloudKit. © Apple Inc.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, Pages hosting for the Wayword and Alderframe websites.

People

Wayword is designed and built by the team at Alderframe Ltd, with the help and support of beta testers, friends and family who have contributed feedback, and the wider iOS developer community whose writing, talks, and sample code shape how we work. Specific external contributors will be credited here at launch.
